The city hosts over 30 museums that are beautifully arranged, and in a short visit of the city some important museums should not be neglected. You should take time and visit some wonderful places that are here and some of these are the Louvre and Maison Europeene de Photographie.
The Louvre
If you are on a Paris tour, take time and visit the Louvre. It is one of the major attractions that this city has to offer. Students can visit the Louvre for days. Placed on the right bank of Seine, the Louvre is an icon for Paris. This is one of the world’s largest museums. Louvre has an impressive architecture and a glass pyramid at the entrance which is worth seeing more than having millions of photographs.

And they are placed in eight departments. The departments contain the Egyptian Antiquities, that has
mummies and objects that date from 4,000BC; the Near Eastern Antiquities, is another department made of three sections that are of the period before the arrival of Islam; the Greek, Etruscan and Roman Art, has items from the Neolithic period to the sixth century; Islamic Art, that has items from thirteen centuries and three continents and is the museum's latest section; Sculpture, has works from pre-1860 and isn’t part of the Greek/Roman school; Decorative Arts has basins and bronzes; the Paintings (the most famous), with famous works such as The Mona Lisa and more; and the Prints and Drawings, which reveals works on paper. If it sounds much to be assimilated-it is! Students should choose something to visit because they cannot see everything.
The Maison Europeene de Photographie
The Louvre was opened recently, in 1996 is located in the historic heart of Paris. Student that are here to visit will be pleased and interested in photography. Based in the Hotel Henault de Cantobre, the Maison Europeene de Photographie has as focus the modern works of photography; the purpose is to reveal these works of art to the public and make them more accessible. Today, the museum hosts around 24,000 works. Here you can also benefit from a café and an auditorium, and you can see changing exhibitions during the whole year.
