Is It Expensive To Sell Articles At $2/500 Words
I have 80 articles (500-600 words) on internet marketing and weight loss that I wanted to sell, I have this client that wants to buy 20 of these articles and the price I asked was only $2 per article but the guy wants to pay $1/article.
I wrote the articles myself not with a spinner and they’ve passed copyscape.

I wanted to use the articles on my blog but due to the fact that I need some urgent cash, I want to sell the articles even at low price.
The question is; is it OK to sell articles at tiny $1, please rate my writing,

Is the quality of my writing really worth $1?
I appreciate all your thoughts. thanks
Value is in the eye of the beholder. That said, I would be insulted is somone only wanted to pay me a dollar per article.

It comes down to a question of self respect. Your self esteem and the value you place on it is where the answer to your question lies.
How long did it take for you to write and research the articles?

I was only able to see the first three paragraphs of your article. Based on that, your writing is pretty good. I only saw one error in those paragraphs and it was an antecedent agreement issue (plural pronoun pointing back to a singular pronoun).
So, the questions are:
1) How long did it take you to research and write that article?
2) How many such articles can you do in an hour?
3) What is your time worth per hour?
4) Does $1 per article equal or exceed what your time is worth?
If #4 is no, then $1 per article is not enough.
How long did it take for you to write and research the articles?
30-40 minutes, including proofreading
30-40 minutes, including proofreading
So, assuming 30 minutes each, you think your time is worth only $2 per hour? That is only $16 per day, or $80 per week, or $320 per month, or $3820 per year assuming normal working days. Minimum wage around here is about $10 per hour, and that is not even a living wage, yet you seem to be willing to work for only $2 per hour. I think that you should re-examine your priorities.
isn't that the point of outsourcing to other countries though, you don't have to pay local rates?

Is that 18 Naira per minute?

even at the proposed rate it's pitiful

so that US$2/hour starts to look much better.
That said, writing is a talent, and if you can write well in another language then you're pretty special and should be well above the minimum wage.
