There's been a growing interest in a certain Golden Bay resort, a luxury resort near Chennai that offers water-skiing and massages, and a great deal of privacy, in the last one week. The Golden Bay resort - which has been home to over 100 AIADMK lawmakers, including one Sasikala or Chinnamma (younger sister of Amma) for some time now - is marketed as a paradise on Earth. It is apparently one, for a select few, looking to go off the radar.
"One of the best place to hide out. No mobile tracking, WIFI, Internet. You will get combo offer to hide out with goons from mannagudi mafia. Most important is you will isolate from the current world," reads one review on Google .
"Superb place for anyone aspiring to be the chief minister. The hotels brainwashing events are great as well. Ensure you give a visit to the torture chambers," reads another.
The Golden Bay resort is notably surrounded by backwaters on three sides and has only one way out. It is apparently very useful for politicians, in this case, Sasikala and Co., who wish to be left alone even as Chinnamma sought more time from the Supreme Court to surrender before the trial court to make some personal arrangements. The Supreme Court has however rejected Sasikala's plea for more time to surrender.
The Golden Bay resort may be a safe haven for politicos like Sasikala, but, local public is clearly not impressed.
"It's is worst resort. Because it is giving accommodation to the peoples who are hate by the whole tamilnadu. And more over there is no safety for the even near by village peoples. Then how they will provide security to the tourists from outside," reads one review."Don't go there. It is run by polical Mafia group. You don't have any safety and privacy. The hotel management is doing illegal activities there," reads one more review.
As a result, maybe, the Golden Bay resort ratings have been pulled down on Google. At the time of writing, even the official website of the Golden Bay resort seems to be non-functional citing server issues. "The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later," reads the website.
