To our dear teacher, Mrs. Tetzie B. Sumaylo. My good-looking classmates and friends, a wonder day to one and all.
It is a great privilege for me to stand before you, introducing you to a very wonderful person, the most important character in my journey of life. He’s known in many names, but for me I prefer to say he is my hero.
He’s a hero that never fly but he can take me to the sky. He don’t have power yet he makes me alive! Neither the wind nor the storm can put its burden to him. Because he is as strong as a bamboo who bends down when wind strikes but can never be fallen apart.
No one can stop his well to help its family. Even if it takes a lot of sweat and pain he is willing to sacrifice for everything. His dream is not for himself, but for his family. “All I want Is to see you prosper.” He said to me.
He supported my studies. Feed my tommy and dress me perfectly. He is a wonderful adviser. Even “Madame Bertod” can’t match his expertise in giving advices. And when I feel so low his song can ease my sorrow. Even though others says he is the worst singer ever, I don’t care! Because for me he is the only singer that can make my heart rejoice. And whenever I needed help, he is always one call away. That’s why I can say he is a supper daddy!
Yes! You heard it right! The person I’m talking too is Jonathan R, Reyes. My father. My forever father. The one whose responsible for what I am today. And what I have today! The man I adore for always. My hero, my teacher, my friend, and my idol. That is no other than my father.
Before I go back to my chair, allow me to say these words for him; “Dad, I may not be with you forever, but you can assure that I always treasure the memories we have together. And no matter what will happen, I will always be here for you, support you like you do, You’ve done your part, now let me do mine. Allow me to show the love and care you deserve from a daughter.”
