Build a good link profile. Content comes along anyway if its well written.
till now guest post is one of my favorite SEO strategy. And another is, to publish content on regular basis :)
I think more and more people are now using social media website as an effective technique in increasing the value of their campaign effectively.
#1 = content that people are searching for. And I work hard at making that all-original content readable and of high quality. The results? About 42,000 unique visitors a month.
Onpage, content and technical optimization is one of the most successful and evergreen seo strategy. Your website must follow all the onpage guidelines like title, description, heading tag, proper keyword placement in content with seed keywords and synonyms, url optimization, image optimization, internal linking, analytics code, webmaster code. With respect to technical optimization the website must be properly optimized for server status code (301, 302, 404, 500 etc), canonical tag, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, optimized page speed(image, scripting file, html etc)
Successful SEO Strategy
1 website neat and clean with Responsive & SEO optimized coding
2 website loading time as per mobile also desktop etc..
3 website content unique and attractive punch lines based in all pages
4 website onpage optimization meta tags all pages (title, description, keywords, og meta tags)
5 Verify from google, bing and yandex also setup google analytics
6 submit sitemap in search console
7 off page optimization directory submission, bookmarking submission, article submission, press release etc
8 work on only high quality backlinks which is boost your website ranking in search engine
9 work on social media marketing branding in social media (fb, twitter, google plus, pinterest, tumblr etc..) profile page creation
10 work on video optimization boost brand video from youtube and its related websites
11 image & logo optimization
12 work on high quality and traffic based forum like digital point
13 story submission & blogging interlinking with website
14 work on google adwords (ads on high traffic or high volume based keywords)

I think there are a lot of various strategies of SEO process and for each of them you can apply some techniques.
For example for begging that is important to build links, for low frequent requests- article submission works really great etc...
BUT in most cases you need to understand who your web site is designed for. It is designed for your visitors and for this purpose you need to have easy-to-use and clear navigation + have "enough" density of your keywords.
Keep BALANCE: from the one hand you need to have good density and from the other hand you need to have something what we call user friendly and acceptable site content.
SEO=hard work + knowledge + ability to keep balance
P.S. Last time SE appreciate "socialized" web sites (the ones which have Social Network profile)

Exactly I agree with you mate
Guest Posting, Social Bookmarking, Competitor backlinks, Web 2.0 is some best off page activities for a successful SEO strategy.
So far, what I used as SEO strategies were blog posting, web 2.0, business citation, guest posting and best is Social Media particularly facebook. ;)
