  1. When a good Samaritan stepped in to stop a creep from flashing a woman on an Upper West Side subway, the sicko bashed a glass bottle over his head, officials said Saturday.
  2. The 31-year-old straphanger was sitting on a Bronx-bound No. 2 train when Ray Adorno, 25, pulled down his pants and exposed himself to a 22-year-old woman sitting nearby about 3 a.m. on Thursday, cops said.
  3. The bold bystander stormed over and told Adorno to zip up — sparking a fight with the younger man as the train rumbled into the 96th St. station.
  4. Adorno struck his opponent in the head with a glass bottle, police said. The subway savior was not seriously injured and managed to detain Adorno until police arrived.
  5. Adorno, charged with assault and public lewdness, was ordered at his arraignment to undergo a psychiatric exam, according to court records.
  6. He has eight prior arrests going back to 2007, but none were for public lewdness, cops said.
  7. The good Samaritan’s neighbors in the Bronx described him as a “good guy.”
  8. “Good judge of character,” said one neighbor. “I’m glad he was protecting a female.”
  9. The arrest comes as cops continue to encourage women to report flashing and groping cases, with all subway sex offenses now being investigated by the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit.
