  1. "Greetings World.
  2. In past months we have grown tired of viewing the constant SatoshiDice, (Bitcoin gambling website), spam filling up the latest transaction list via the blockchain. We consider it an abuse of the Bitcoin network and demand that SatoshiDice remove / alter their address tag, or discontinue returning the 0.0005 fee.
  3. Some consider it to be a DDoS attack against the Bitcoin network since it is bypassing the built-in anti-DDoS features of Bitcoin (transaction fees). Others see it as proof that the incentives created by the Bitcoin transaction fee scheme do not produce the results originally expected.
  4. From satoshidice.com "The SatoshiDice Bitcoin game operates with zero confirmations, meaning the time it takes for you to send a transaction and receive your winnings is near-instant. Bets are evaluated as soon as the client picks up the broadcast. This is safe because it always builds the answering transaction with the output of your bet transaction. This means a blockchain that does not contain your bet cannot contain the site's answer.
  5. You place a bet by sending Bitcoins to one of the addresses listed in the bet options table. SatoshiDice sees this, evaluates win or lose and generates a return transaction. If you lose, the return your bet times 0.005. That means a number way lower than your bet. If you win, your bet is multiplied by the prize multiplier and that amount is sent back. There is thus an answering transaction for each bet and normally you see that transaction in your client after a few seconds."
  6. Unlike traditional online gaming software, wagers with SatoshiDice can be sent without access to the website nor running any client software. To play, a Bitcoin transaction is made to one of the static addresses operated by the service, each having differing payouts. The service determines if the wager wins or loses and sends a transaction in response with the payout to a winning bet or it returns a tiny fraction of the house's gain to a losing bet. As a result, the game spams the p2p network and blockchain with useless data. SatoshiDice forces players to pay a transaction fee on each result so the spam will successfully flood both the p2p relay network and the blockchain.
  7. It is time to hit SatoshiDice where it hurts; their wallet.
  8. Anonymous has found a way to exploit their greediness. We have gained access to their server and discovered that the following address to be a valid account. It is NOT listed on their bet options table and it pays out with 100% returns at an 1.957 multiplier rate. Prepare to double your Bitcoins.
