  10. The reason we ask this question is because it helps us determine if the emails have been hacked or not.
  11. Max defers is an error that shows in the system when you reach a high percentage of failed messages sent in the system.
  12. For example, if you send out 10 emails at once and 9 of the fail, the system will place the Max defers error on the account to prevent anything that may be trying to get into the account.
  13. If you dont send out massive amount of emails at once, then your email accounts are most likely hacked.
  14. Here is what you can do to stop this.
  15. 1. Contact you hosting provider for your email and explain to them the situation. They can get a process started to pinpoint the cause of the issue.
  16. 2. Change all your email passwords on the account. The hacker most likely got your email passwords, which allowed them to send out the emails in the first place.
  17. 3. After changing the passwords, give all email accounts about 1 hour before trying to send out again. The system has an 1 hour hold on sending emails, and will be reset if you try to send emails again.

  21. The provided solutions are perfect. Most of the time due to hacking such issue get arises so it's always suggested to have the strong password that is it should be the combination of number, symbols, small and capital letters.
  22. You should scan the systems with the latest antivirus from where you are accessing the emails. It is recommended to do not save the passwords in multiple system.
  23. also look over third-party software such as themes and plugins
  24. If the host is using ConfigServer Firewall then the Login Failure Daemon will protect from brute force attacks, however if the hacker has obtained your password and changed your login info contact your host immediately and they can change the password and email for you, also the host will most likely have limits set to protect from any kind of abuse the hacker maybe trying to perform.

  29. Agreed, but there is also one more thing that you can do to prevent your email id from hacked. You should change your password frequently in a week or two, You also can change it once in a month but change it frequently. It will reduce your changes from being hacked.
