*The Crucifixion of Jesus on Mount Calvary* (John 19:25). Spiritual maturity is needed to see that death is not the end of a person’s life. They are ultimately in the hands of God (cf. Mk 12:27). Mary accepted the loss of her Son because it is the means by which the world will be saved. May parents who have buried a child draw strength from the mystery of the death and resurrection of Christ.
