  1. Each year, across the country and around the world, people gather on November 11th in the sacred act of remembrance to show our deep gratitude to those who laid down their lives to make possible the freedom we enjoy. Their courage, selflessness, and love for their country should continually inspire us all, especially during challenging times.
  2. While in-person ceremonies will look different this year, it's all the more important that we take the time to remember and recommit ourselves to protecting and preserving the peace that was entrusted to us. Wherever you happen to be at 11:00 am this Wednesday, I would ask you to join me in a moment of silence for the fallen.
  3. “They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
  4. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
  5. At the going down of the sun and in the morning
  6. We will remember them.”
  7. For the Fallen, Laurence Binyon
