I’ve actually made $100 in a day writing for Textbroker, so let me add my thoughts.
8,000+ WORDS A DAY FOR 4-STAR WRITERS
First, understand that you need to write A LOT of content to hit that target.
I’m a 4–star writer on Textbroker, which means I make 1.4 cents/word on the open orders and a little more on the team orders and direct orders. So on the days that I hit $100+, I write over 8,000 words. With most of the assignments landing in the 500–800 word range, I typically have to write 10–14 articles to hit $100. I’m not the fastest typist, and I tend to procrastinate a lot between articles, so it usually takes me about 8 hours to hit $100, but some writers get there in much less time.
WHAT ABOUT 3-STAR WRITERS?
If you are a 3-star writer, then you need to work on your spelling, grammar, punctuation and AP style writing to get yourself up to level 4. In the meantime, you should apply for as many active teams as possible to get a higher pay rate, since all teams pay more than 1.0 cents/word. I would also drop my direct order price as low as it will go to attract clients. You will raise it later, after you get promoted to 4-stars.
YOUR MINDSET MATTERS
Also, your mindset is important. There are a lot of haters out there that will make you think that it’s not worth it to write at Textbroker. They will make you doubt yourself and will drain your motivation.
Well, it might not be worth it for them. That’s their call. But only you can decide if it’s worth it FOR YOU. If you want that money, you have to block out the negativity of others and focus on what you want. It will take hard work, and it will take some time. But it’s totally possible to hit that number. People do it every single day.
