Abu Al-Asar Hafeez Jullundhri (Urdu: ابو الاثر حفیظ جالندھری) (born 14 January 1900 – 21 December 1982) was a Pakistani Urdu-language poet who wrote the lyrics for the National Anthem of Pakistan.[1] Another most widely-used shorter name for him in Pakistan is Hafeez Jalandhri- this name spelling shown on the postage stamp issued in his honour by the Pakistan Post office.[2]
