The next time you try your hand at
something and do not achieve your
desired result immediately, remember failure is an event. It does not define who you are!
Bill Cosby also said it well when he
said, “I don’t know the key to
success, but the key to failure is
trying to please everybody.”
If you are scrambling around trying
to please everyone, you cannot
possibly hope to succeed!
Just because you have failed once,
twice or even 10,000 times at
something, it does mean that you
are a failure. You only truly fail if you
learn nothing from you previous
attempts and when you stop trying.
What do any of these words mean to you? No matter what you are trying to succeed at, whether it is a sport, project, career, invention, or at school, there will be times when you will not succeed. But you must have the fortitude, the perseverance, to not let that stop you from reaching your goals, dreams, and desires.
The common thread among all these famous people and their wise words is the same. You cannot have success without failure because failure is part of success. Never give
up and never stop trying. There is
power in failure, you just have to give yourself a chance.
