President of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, believes that Karim Benzema is not a criminal.
The French striker was involved in a sex video blackmail case involving Mathieu Valbuena, and spending a night in a police station of Paris, before returning to Madrid.
This condition had reportedly makes Madrid willing to sell Benzema, who has now been dropped from the French team ahead of Euro 2016.
But Perez told France Football: "We have continued to support him and we will always support him. I've spoken to him and I am sure it is impossible to think that he had done something bad."
"He is a good boy and I am very confident that, above all, the intention is simply to help a close friend, Mathieu Valbuena.
