Another one of the places to visit in Singapore is Lau Pa Sat. They also call it the Telok Ayer Market and it is the first market in the whole of Singapore. It has a clock tower which is situated at the center portion of the roof. The building is octagon in shape and was created by Engineer James MacRitchie. Today, Lau Pa Sat is like a food center and it has several stores within. There is a 24-hours convenience store, a laundry mat, a tailoring shop and a shoe repair store.
