Enabled biologists in the Federal School of Applied Arts in Lausanne to reach a preliminary data on the benefits of pomegranate in anti-aging.
Pomegranate based on the findings of the researchers contains a substance contributing to the slow changes that occur in the muscle cells with age.
The scientists said that the pomegranate molecules turn in the small intestine to a substance called (urolitin), the latter playing a major role in protecting cells from damage and exposure to changes associated with old age.
