Mums know how to create economy-friendly food for kids!
When things were tough for us my mum used to make something called 'green rice'. She would get plenty of crayfish and wash the green in ugwu/pumpkin leaves out (like butter leaves). Then she would use that green water to cook the parboiled rice and add her condiments. With egg on top. Jeez.... we thought it was a delicacy mehn.... na so we go dey wack ask for more. When we rememeber it now we laugh.
