  3. In good daylight as well as in in dim light, even if you take the slower lens into account. The system automatically analyzes camera movement and applies the best shake correction method for the shooting situation — allowing you to focus on framing and capturing your shot. 4. I'll give my verdict soon. A selection lever lets you switch between step ring and continuous ring movement. As I usually find, this is useful but best avoided if you want to maintain ultimate image quality.
  5. Also, the built in time lapse function is fun. But that begs the question doesn't it. I like the , one of the company's 1-inch sensor enthusiast compacts -- the one without the viewfinder -- but that model just can't keep up when it comes to speed. Seems to me that people like to complain about things they haven't tried. I've been circling around this one quite often as of late so I might end up getting it. If you want the same quality in an even smaller body, consider the G9X which may have a shorter zoom and lacks the tilting screen, but measures roughly the same as Canon's S120. That said, there's fewer megapixels, and as a 28mm equivalent F2. Equipped with a 9-blade iris diaphragm, the lens lets you achieve a beautiful background defocus with shapes that are nearly round. And it's also faster to focus in low-contrast conditions, as Canon claims. But within few mins a highly reputed rumormill published the same with big water mark on them, and finally we have also decided to do publish the same. A G7X in name only I guess. I personally think it's a pretty cool camera.
  6. Canon to finally add 4K video to upcoming G7X Mark III - In good daylight as well as in in dim light, even if you take the slower lens into account.
  7. But I have no inside knowledge, just a best guess on my part. But I have no inside knowledge, just a best guess on my part. I think so as well canon g7x mark iii I'm no insider and can be completely wrong. So they get rid of a dependence with a third party like Sony. But I have no inside knowledge, just a best guess on my part. I think so as well but I'm no insider and can be completely wrong. So they get rid of a dependence with a third party like Sony. But like I said, I have no insider knowledge about upcoming products at Canon, so I could be wrong and you could be right. Thom Hogan laid out a logical case some months back for Canon simplifying their lineup as far as using one sensor made in-house. It might be much cheaper to use their own sensor rather than buy them from Sony. I think will be announced in January at the show. I'm in the same boat as you. I have G7X1 and looking forward to see what the 3 will bring. I will be shocked if G7X line killed off. Way canon g7x mark iii popular of a camera; beyond enthusiasts, it's a massively popular model for vloggers. Canon leaving the 'compact' compact market is a possibility and I hope you are not right. We cannot be sure of what's going to happen but I'm quite sure that at least one person in Canon pushes this policy : Times are difficult, we need to cut production, development and marketting costs. So we need to focus on reusability of components and technologies to build a line of products by assembling a lower variety of primary components, and communicate so that what we say for one product will help other products to sell, as well. They prefered to develop a new lens, even if it is slower. Priority is defenitely on the promotion of the new sensor and the DualPixel tech. So now, they have a sensor, and they have a new lens which fits this sensor yet keeping the overall camera small. So they have everything to assemble a new lineup without relying on Sony. There are plenty of people wanting to take nice pictures of their moving kids, grand kids, pets or sportive people. And significantly bigger, with a dimmer lens, with less reach, and less subject separation. These are two hugely different cameras. They might kill off G5X and G9X. I'll eat my words if it happens, but I don't think there's even a slight chance of it. The G9X is the one camera that Canon have which is truly unique and beyond what Sony can do in size or interface. It may not be posted so much but I cannot believe they are not selling a lot of these. G9X unique in that it's a bit smaller. It also has a wider and brighter lens than G9X, and a tilt display which the G9X lacks. These are probably far more important to most than the slight size difference between G7X and G9X. Beyond that, and perhaps key, the G7X is massively more popular than G9X. It's some sort of cult vlogging camera. I don't know whether G9X will be killed off, but if it comes down to G9X vs G7X being killed off, it won't be the G7X. I don't think either one will be killed off. I don't think either one will be killed off. I meant if one had to go. I think g7x has been the more successful model. Would like to see g9x with a flip screen. That would be awesome, if they could compete with the Sony sensors otherwise. Plausible with the G1x3 but hopefully that isn't the direction they are going. G1x3 is even more jarring. This has meant they have had to truncate the zoom and slow the lens in a big way though it is smaller, but a canon g7x mark iii really in some ways of the old camera in all but sensor and focusing prowess. What the shift from a slim 2. A G7X in name only I guess.
