This isn’t what you first said though. You said that she’s merely in it to prove that she has the biggest penis in your first comment whilst I’m saying that she will have a plethora of motivations before we even arrive at her ego as a reason. The drive might be there but it’s not THE ultimate drive. How many times have you seen those women on Oprah? On a red carpet? Collecting awards? Penning autobiographies or giving interviews to Hello? Who actually cares? And even if they did have a big ego, good luck finding an audience that gives a fuck! I just don’t see it.

But most astronauts *are* scientists, doctors, physicists, engineers and computer scientists with their own STEM degrees and numerous research sets. They’re not just glorified plumbers or PR dolls for the US and Russia. Why wouldn’t they have any additional involvement beyond labour-intensive servicing missions already?
