  1. Make $10 Cash (Repeatable)
  2. Important Info: This $10 and the means of acquiring it will be cash. This will work with any currency, as long as there are the correct denominations.
  3. Requirements: 2x $20 Bill, Shopping Plaza or Store (Not a restaurant and DEFINITELY NOT A BANK!!!)
  4. 1. NOTE: Buying the item is optional but makes this seem more legitimate. Go to a store (important) and pick up any item. Find a cashier who looks like they can be easily fooled (typically young people.) This step is VERY IMPORTANT. You should also make sure that there is no one waiting at the register. Buy a cheap item ($1-$2).
  5. 2. After you buy the item, ask if you can get change for a $20 bill, in 1 $10 bill, 1 $5 bill, and 5 $1 bills. Once you get the change, pocket the money, then act like you actually just need 2 $10 bills and ask to turn a $5 bill and 5 $1 bills into a $10 bill.
  6. 3. Pull out the $10 bill, $5 bill, and 5 $1 bills, all in the same order, with the $10 bill in the back, facing the cashier.
  7. 4. Pull out the $5 bill, and 4 of the $1 bills. You need to make sure you pocket the $10 bill and $1 bill. You need to make the cashier forget that you still have the $10 bill. Also, you can’t let the cashier know that you only gave them $9. (Don’t let the cashier see the extra $1 bill as you put it back in your pocket with the $10 bill.)
  8. 5. Say “One five, and five ones.”, as you hand the cashier the money to increase the chance of them giving you a ten without counting the money. Remember, you only gave the cashier $9.
  9. 6. If they count the money before giving you the ten, then you have failed and should complete the transaction legitimately and find another store.
  10. 7. If they give you the ten before counting your money, then things are going smoothly. If they don’t notice that you were short a dollar, then do the following as you pocket the ten: After the ten is pocketed, rummage around in your pocket for a few seconds and act surprised as you pull out the $1 that you owe them. Tell them to check if you gave them enough ones and give them the $1 bill. You should do this before any of the money goes into the register. Once they realize that you short changed them, ask to see the five and the four ones and pretend count them yourself. Add the extra $1 bill to the stack.
  11. 8. If they do notice that you were short after giving you the ten, they will ask for a $1 bill. Ask to see the $5 bill and 5 $1 bills so that you can count them yourself. Pretend to count the money.
  12. 9. You should now be holding a $5 bill, and 4 $1 bills.
  13. 10. After counting the money, act surprised and pretend to rummage around in your pocket and pull out the $1 bill. The rummaging should be quick so the cashier doesn’t have time to think before you pull out the $1 bill. Add the $1 bill to the pile and count the $5 bill and 5 $1 bills clearly in front of the cashier.
  14. 11. This part is important. You need to do your best social engineering in this step to avoid rousing suspicion. Right after you count the money, you need to convince the cashier that you actually didn’t need the change. You should say that you don’t need the change after pulling out a wallet and looking inside. (To help convince the cashier, you can have the wallet filled with ones, fives, and tens. And show them to the cashier.)
  15. 12. While still holding the five and five ones, reach into your pocket and pull out a ten. Add the ten to the top of the pile. Give them the pile and ask them to turn the $20 you just gave them into a $20 bill. To help distract them further, tell them to double check that you gave them $20. They should now give you a $20 bill. If they don’t give you the $20 and explain why because they still know you have $10, act as surprised as possible and give them back the $10 bill. At this point you would have to find a different register. If this happens, make sure you tell them that you’re sorry for the confusion and crack a joke that you almost just walked off with an extra $10 without realizing. This is to make it seem like an honest mistake.
  16. 13. Once they give you the $20, you have succeeded. Now you need to keep them from realizing that you still owe them $10 until you get out the door. Some good topics to mention after this to keep them distracted are: “Jeez, that was real confusing”, or “Wow, I almost walked off with an extra dollar!”
  17. 14. Make sure you thank the cashier for the change before leaving and say something like “Sorry that was so confusing” as you walk away.
  18. 14. As soon as you are out of the doors continue as soon as possible to your escape, or, your next victim.
  19. You have now just walked into a store with a $20 bill and walked out with $30. (Assuming you didn’t buy anything and did the trick correctly.)
  20. Further Information: This is a fairly simple trick and some people will see through it. Trial and error is key. You should practice this trick on a trusted friend, practice your social engineering and pretending, and practice handling bills. It is very risky, but if you have found a cashier that looks extremely vulnerable, and you have practiced a lot, then you can do this trick starting with a $100 bill, and manage to profit $50 after successfully performing the trick. This trick does seem complicated, but I myself have managed to be in and out of a gas station in 71 seconds flat, but with an extra $10. (I had a friend time me.)
  21. Below is a link to a video that shows a variant of this trick being done in 36 seconds. Following the exact steps in the video in real life at a store WILL NOT WORK. You should follow the guide that I have written above.
