  2. Can anyone confirm India provider Cenmax either got bought or for some other reason switched customers to 20i IP addresses in UK?

  15. They sent an announcement on 29 June to change nameservers immediately from xx.cenmax.in to xx.stackcp.com (which is 20i). And that old nameservers will be inactive in 48 hours. But what they did not mention in the email is that the IP locations seem also changed to UK.

  20. Their guarded reply is "we switched to Google Cloud for performance". Which isn't a direct answer. Contact info on their website was entirely removed. I guess that explains it.
  22. They sent that announcement after the cPanel price hike. I think they've replaced cPanel with StackCP, which is developed by 20i. And, they are also using the nameservers provided by 20i.

  25. Did you ask them directly if they had been acquired or did you simply ask why their nameservers were changed?

  45. I was concerned a bit that they changed their logo and removed contact info from their website. But unless anyone knows differently at face value it looks like we got a free upgrade to a better service.

  49. CENMAX might not have been acquired but they must have migrated their data to i20, As due to cPanel business model changed (Account based pricing) they have mentioned in reply they are stopping selling cPanel based hosting packages.
  51. CENMAX is one of many company's that are trying to find a way to get away from cPanel. as time goes on the more people that stop using cPanel the more of a chance they will go under, unless they decide to lower the price back to normal to bring customers back. its just a waiting game to see how things will play out at this point.
  53. I'm pretty sure 20i only use Google for their DNS, they don't actually host on the Google Cloud.

  58. As far as I am aware 20i don’t use ‘Google’ for actually hosting sites. (Well they didn’t when I tried it)
  60. As far as I am aware they use a google based DNS server (one I think) which sounds to me like they use a VPS on the google platform to server some DNS records.
  62. To be honest, it sounds like a rash decision and a way to save money, but looking at companies with a similar setup they soon limited accounts and increased pricing. Just look at HeartInternet (who the owners of 20i created)
  63. IIRC they use Google for just DNS and colo their equipment (that hosts your websites, emails, etc) at one of the Node4 facilities.
