Akshay Kumar’s new film, Toilet - Ek Prem Katha, is gearing up for release on Friday, and keeping in line with the star’s latest output, the film aims to raise awareness about a pressing social issue - this time, it’s open defecation.
The film is about a man (played by Akshay Kumar) whose new wife (played by Bhumi Pednekar) leaves him because he doesn’t have a toilet at home.
But the irony of a new photograph - of a man urinating on a poster of the film - has not been lost on social media.
The picture was soon made into a meme, and now, like a clogged toilet, the internet if overflowing with creatively-captioned pictures of a urinating man.
