  1. Manchester United travel to Premier League newcomers Huddersfield Town tomorrow for our third consecutive away game.
  2. Speaking ahead of the game at his pre-match press conference today, Jose Mourinho gave a team news and injury update.
  3. The good news was that Mourinho confirmed Marcus Rashford is fit to face the Terriers, but unfortunately the boss confirmed that none of our absentees from last weekend will be available.
  4. This means that the central midfield trio of Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick will all miss tomorrow’s trip to Yorkshire. Ander Herrera has been starting alongside Nemanja Matic in front of the back four as a result and we expect this to be the same again tomorrow. 20-year-old Scott McTominay made his Champions League debut as a stoppage time substitute on Wednesday and is expected to be named among the substitutes this weekend too.
  5. Marcos Rojo is a long-term absentee whilst Mourinho’s words today mean that Eric Bailly will also miss the trip to Huddersfield. This means Chris Smalling should partner Phil Jones again, with Victor Lindelof the backup option. The Swedish defender made his Premier League debut in our 0-0 draw at Anfield last weekend in the final moments of the game.
  6. The final absentee for us tomorrow is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The football legend is back in light training but isn’t expected to play again until December at the earliest. Jose is hopeful that the Swede will play again before the end of the year.
