The Trou aux Cerfs is also known as the Murr’s Volcano. It is a place to explore in Mauritius not only by foreigners from other countries but also of local residents. This volcano is dormant and has been calm for as thousands of years with a coned top and a bushy crater. Speaking of the crater, it cannot be accessed by beginner climbers. There is a structure blocking the crater, even experts cannot easily pass by. But conquering the 605-meter volcano is a great adventure already, anyway.
