4. MAIN DUTIES OF EXECUTIVES
Primary duty of the GM (Billing) is to monitor the progress of his department among regions to co-ordinate their functional activities and implementation of the instructions, policies and procedures issued by the Management / Ministry / OGRA time to time. However, functions and duties of billing executives in the regions are given as under: -
4.1 To implement management decisions, procedures, and instructions concerning billing activities.
4.2 To propose new procedures and systems for improvement in billing activities.
4.3 To prepare reports on billing activities for information of the management. However, it should be designed keeping in view the strength of meter readers, staff available for data preparation and number of meters (all categories) available for reading / billing in the region.
4.4 To ensure timely meter reading and billing of all categories of gas consumers. Executive responsible of billing data must also ensure that all relevant data prepared by concerned must be counter signed and stamped.
4.5 To ensure that all defect reports of meters found defective has been prepared and forwarded to Distribution Department for replacement of such meters.
4.6 To check that delivery pressure corresponds with the billing pressure of industrial and commercial consumers, where pressure gauges are installed and intimate Distribution Department to install such pressure gauges
