If I try to run the Dell Docking Station Firmware Update, it says that no dock is attached. Edit: Forgot to add, I'm on Windows 7 x64. Edit 2: Got my hands on a new dock and it fired right up and seems to be even more stable than the old one. Looks like something went wrong with the firmware upgrade of the original one. First one isn't that old and will be going back to Dell. Such mess was seen before, about a year ago. Quite a few complaints on their support forum, but no official reply from Dell yet. Try yelling at support directly to get one. Some folks managed to restore docks this way, others not. And don't do this with the dock connected.
