The Samsung Galaxy S4 (Life Companion) is the newest smart phone from Samsung. It was launched this year a few days back and will be available to the public on the 26th of April. With two high end Quad-Core processors of 1.6 GHz and 1.2 GHz, a powerVR graphics card and 2 GB of Ram the fastest and the most reliable performance possible today is achieved with no problems. Android’s latest version 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) is used as the Operating System and HTML 5 and Adobe Flash are factory available in the S4. The Samsung Galaxy S4 has a very impressive design with a 4.99 inches display and FullHD resolution. The S4 has a dimension of 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm which is awesome to look at, use and handle for any smart phone user. It is also very light in weight of 130 grams with many more outstanding and lovely features and the best use of technology. The display of the phone is the same as the Galaxy S3 but obviously in the new and best technology which include Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, 16M colors and the protection of the glass is taken from the new Corning Gorilla Glass 3, multi touch is available with no interruption in speed. The S4 has a 13 MP camera and the results of the camera are just fantastic. The camera has also a lot of features i.e., dual camera, auto focus, LED Flash, HD video and Image recording, focus and smile detection, dual shot, image stabilization. The secondary camera is about 2.1 MP which is very impressive. In connectivity there are also remarkable features given to the user i.e., Bluetooth v4.0 with LE, A2DP, EDR, WLAN, USB, GPRS, EDGE 3G LTE. As Samsung is sticking with the winning formula in the case of the S3, as the defining features in the S4 will make their space in the market we should see new standards appear in terms of Smart Phone functionality.

The extensive list of enhancements that are offered by the Samsung Galaxy S4 stand out as a competition killer as compared to other smart phones. The availability of a TV control app, a translation tool that is very handy, temperature and humidity sensors and also the new eye-catching air gesture sensors within this phone that allows the person to pause the video which is running on the phone just by taking his eyes off the screen and resume it later when he floats his finger over it. From a buyer’s point of view, it is very hard to go with other smart phones such as an iPhone 5, a Nokia Lumia 920, or a HTC One instead.

The Samsung launched a bomb in the market. Let’s see now how the other smart phone producers will respond. There are already rumors from Apple for the new iPhone 6.
