  1. How to make timer in notepad for shutting down your PC .
  2. I found it useful because i m watching films and series online and i always fall asleep ,and its good way to turn on timer and shut down your PC and save some energy and to save PC .
  3. I hope you will find it useful like me
  4. Steps:
  5. 1. Open notepad
  6. 2.type - shutdown.exe -s -t 10800 -c "Computer will shut down in 10800 seconds"
  7. (10800 is example, you can type how much you want)
  8. 3.Click Save As
  9. 4.Then change Save type at bottom from .txt to All files
  10. 5.Then save that file with some name for example (Shutdown in 3 hours),and save it as .bat file. You should get file like this---> Shutdown in 3 hours.bat
  11. 6.After you saved it , look where you saved,best on desktop. The icon should be with some Gear logo.
