I know it's not much, but I'm so damned excited and I wanna document everything thoroughly this year. Everything pictured is tomato or pepper.
Tomato varieties: Yellow Pear, Ukraine Purple, Large Red Cherry, Wisconsin 55
Peppers: jabanero, Giant Aconcagua, Cayenne, Little Red Pepper
I started all these in late February and early March under that work light. Then I quickly up-potted them to make room under the germination light. I'm gonna start some more tonight.
The ones in front of the window are small because it's not very sunny in my house. Most of the plants are in North and West facing windows and there's shading going on too. I'm just gonna keep them pruned short and let them get fat and I will thoroughly harden them before outdoor transplant. The garden plot is plenty sunny.
I'm planning on focusing on four things this year: maters, cukes, winter squash and a wide array of peppers. I will also grow a few herbs for cooking and canning and maybe a wild card veggie.
One thing I'm trying to decide is what squash varieties to grow. Butternut is my favorite by taste, but I really just wanna grow the highest-yielding varieties. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm in zone 5a.
