Iran denies allegations of US ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, that they supply ballistic missiles to Houthi rebel groups in Yemen.
Through a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Bahram Ghasemi, Iran says it has nothing to do with Houthi.
"The allegation that Iran is supplying weapons to a number of dangerous groups of the Middle East we firmly deny," Ghasemi was quoted as saying by the AFP news agency on Wednesday (20/12/2017).
Ghasemi explained that he could not understand why Haley and the Saudi-led coalition could make such accusations.
In fact, Yemen is currently blocked by a coalition post-missile missile attacks passed Houthi to target the airport.
"Never send a weapon, humanitarian aid can not be channeled to it," said Ghasemi.
Previously, Haley said that Tehran deliberately supplied weapons to the Houthi.
His remarks came out after Saudi air defense systems destroyed the fired missiles targeting King Salman's palace.
Haley said the missiles fired by the Houthi bear a resemblance to the weapons produced by Iran.
The coalition spokesman said firmly that Iran supports rebel groups in the Middle East.
"The fact that the use of weapons made by Iran by terrorists, including Houthis, poses a threat not only in the region but also globally," the spokesman said.
