This treasure trove of history contains rich mementos of the past. It stands at the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Abba and contains many of the earliest recorded history of man and their fossils, one of which is “Lucy”. Also, they have the world’s earliest child referred to as “Salem.” That child is estimated to be 3.3 million years old. It has different exhibitions that cater to different fields of discovery in archaeology, palaeoanthropology, artwork and ethnographic displays. The year 1936 called for the first exhibition in this museum which grew from 1958 and onward.
