Real Madrid are looking into the transfer of new attacking players next summer, and Cristiano Ronaldo is keen on one that could spell bad news for his old club Manchester United.
The Portugal international has reportedly signaled that he’d approve of a deal for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, according to Spanish source Don Balon.
United won’t be too pleased to hear this development, with ESPN noting last month that they were planning another move for Griezmann next summer after various links with him in the past.
The France international looks ready to make the step up to a bigger club after shining with Atletico and on the international stage in recent years.
United look in good shape up front this season after bringing in Romelu Lukaku from Everton over the summer, while Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial also continue to chip in with goals.
Still, Griezmann would represent another world class addition to this Red Devils side, and it would be a big blow for Jose Mourinho to see him end up at Real Madrid instead.

Ronaldo and Griezmann could form an exciting partnership in Zinedine Zidane’s side, with the latter also looking potentially like an ideal long-term replacement for the former.
Ronaldo will turn 33 this season, and while he continues to perform at a high level, he may not have that many years left in him after a long and remarkably consistent career.
If Don Balon’s reports are true, it may be that the former United man is effectively lining up his own replacement at the Bernabeu.
