  10. Habitat:
  11. growing in soil near planted fig trees around grass and weeds. i live in temperate CA, it's got to only be a couple of hundred feet above sea level here.
  12. Gills:
  13. Stem:
  14. about 1-2" in length, hollow and about a 1/4-3/16" thick
  15. Cap:
  16. Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
  17. Spore print color:
  18. this was done on a brown grocery bag:
  19. the spores or dark brown/rust colored
  20. Bruising:
  21. no bluing, no bruising other than looking wet when the flesh is crushed
  22. Other information:
  23. no noticeable scent. these guys have been continuing to fruit over and over over the last number of months each time we receive rain. i've dug down below them to see if there was any mass of mycelium but couldn't find any.

  67. Yea, looks like in the P. candolleana group, not sure if its P. candolleana because of how its hygrophanous from the cap margin instead of the cap apex. What I call P. hymenocephala fades like that, but the cap color is not quite right, but it could have maybe faded. Or maybe it could be another species...
