Mother, 44, and married son, 25, arrested for ‘having sex’
A woman in North Carolina has been arrested for allegedly having sex with her married son.
Melissa ‘Missy’ Kitchens, 44, and her son, 25-year-old Shaun Thomas Pfeiffer, were arrested last week after the allegations came to light.
Pfeiffer, who is self-employed, also faces charges of indecent liberties with a child, communicating threats and being intoxicated and disruptive.
He is believed to live with both his mother and his wife, Shannon Roman, in Asheville.
In a Facebook post last month, Ms Roman wrote: ‘When you truly care for someone, their mistakes never change your feelings because it’s the mind that gets angry but the heart still cares.’
In North Carolina, incest carries a sentence of between 10 and 41 months in prison.
