BURLEY — A Heyburn couple confronts 25 consolidated criminal accusations originating from an affirmed Oct. 13 wrongdoing binge through Burley.
Cody Gene Morgan, 20, and his better half, Jenifer Carol Morgan, 19, supposedly took a male adolescent in the child care of Cody Morgan's dad on a late-night frenzy through Burley on Oct. 13, amid which police say they stole from vehicles and homes.
In court records, police express that Jenifer Morgan revealed to them that the couple left their home with the adolescent at 11 p.m., after the adolescent, who was likewise charged for the asserted episode, disclosed to them he needed to take things from autos in Burley. Morgan told police that she drove the auto and tuned in to music while her significant other and the adolescent stole things and gas from Burley vehicles.
Cody Morgan is accused of six checks of thievery, two tallies of demolition, adjustment or covering of proof — all crimes — and six wrongdoing petit robbery checks. He's planned for a preparatory hearing in fifth District Magistrate Court in Burley at 9 a.m. Friday.
Jenifer Morgan is planned to show up in court at 9 a.m. Nov. 9 on five tallies of robbery, one check of criminal trick — all lawful offenses — and five wrongdoing checks of petit burglary.
Both are being held in the Mini-Cassia Criminal Justice Center in Burley on $75,000 bond each.
The claimed wrongdoing binge, which crossed areas over the southeast piece of Burley, reached a crucial stage when a Burley resident saw the trio taking things from a vehicle and started tailing them. After the trio saw the native following them in a vehicle, they supposedly started tossing things out of their auto while driving south of town at a high rate of speed.
Records express that the Morgans were captured after they endeavored to avoid Cassia County sheriff's delegates in a carport at 450 E. 500 S., while the adolescent was captured later, after he was seen entering a service station on Overland Avenue.
Representatives recuperated a variety of devices, an emergency treatment pack and an auto battery from the Morgans' auto, records appear.
The punishment for lawful offense theft is up to 10 years in jail and a $150,000 fine. The punishment for offense petit robbery is dependent upon one year in prison and a $1,000 fine.
