I did a major update on my potting soil.
I recently started talking to a fellow co-worker who is a cactus expert. He told me I needed to completely re-do my cacti potting mix.
Previously I was using peat moss as a base, with lots of perlite and dolomitic lime.
Now I'm using a small amount of peat moss, with a lot of lava sand, a good bit of green sand; and then some perlite, dolomitized lime, blood meal, and worm castings to top it off.
Though the major is the lava sand.
It is much more coarse and should drain a whole lot faster now without retaining it's water.
I'm excited to see if there is improved growth this year!
