  1. Here’s a neat little hack using Google’s Advanced Search Operators. Try typing this into Google:
  2. -inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(.doc|.pdf) “cookbook“
  3. What it will return is a list of sites that have an open (readable) directory, containing files of either “.doc” or “.pdf” type, and containing “cookbook” in the name.
  4. Of course, you can replace the type search with anything you like, for instance (exe|zip|rar), and the same goes for the file name(s).
  5. There’s even a site with a neat little GUI to simplify the process.
