  10. 350g semolina
  11. caster sugar 60g
  12. 100g almond powder
  13. 60g soft butter
  14. 1 pinch baking powder
  15. 2 eggs
  16. 1 cuil.à soup and 1/2 of orange flower water,
  17. peanut oil for frying
  18. Honey
  19. Lemon juice
  20. Preparation
  21. Lightly toast meal. Pour into a bowl. Then toast the almonds to reveal all their flavor.
  22. Mix the semolina, almond powder, sugar, baking powder and mix.
  23. Add butter, orange blossom water and sand without stressing your hands.
  24. Add eggs one at a time, stirring between each until a compact paste is obtained. Form a ball.
  25. Flour a work surface and spread out your dough on 1.5 cm thick. Using a push mold, train el Kalb louz until all the batter.
  26. Post your cakes on a plate and allow to dry for about 2 hours, it is imperative for a good behavior during frying!
  27. (For kalb el louz with average semolina, it will surely let dry 4 hours if you want to make it a nice shape that takes cooking.)
  28. Next, heat the peanut oil, and when it reaches an extreme temperature, dip your cake and brown for 2 minutes. Needless to return, the oil should cover it. They just blondir, especially not grilling ...
  29. Place on paper towels and allow to cool.
  30. Prepare a honey syrup in a small saucepan 1/2 cup honey, 1 tbsp. C lemon juice and 1 tsp. to S caster sugar. Heat, stirring, add flower water orange last.
  31. Then soak your cakes in this syrup for a minute so they imbibe much of this syrup (renew if necessary) and let them drain on a rack.
  32. Finally, arrange them in pretty boxes of paper and sprinkle lightly with some glitter.
