  1. MacBook Memory Leak? Running Slower? Tried Everything?
  2. Try reverting your mouse options. Changing them from default vann cause this bug to leak memory.
  3. To revert your mouse pointer settings to the default in macOS Monterey, follow these steps:
  4. On your Mac, click the Apple logo in the top-left corner of the screen.
  5. Go to System Preferences.
  6. Navigate to Accessibility.
  7. Select the Pointer tab in the right pane.
  8. Use the slider to reduce the pointer size to Normal.
  9. Click the Reset button next to the Pointer Color box.
  10. Restart your Mac and keep using it as you would normally for a while and see if the issue persists. This fix has reduced memory issues for some people who use macOS Monterey, but not everyone.
