You can visit the highest mountain range in Sierra Leone and that is the Loma Mountains. The Loma Mountains also have the highest peak in the country, the Mountain called Bintumani. No one is allowed to hunt in these areas. It is 20 miles long and has many mammals and birds that are native of the country and yet, not to be seen in others. These include the Water Chevrotain, Savannah Buffalo, Maxwell Duiker and the red Columbus monkey. Birds such as the Lesser Kestrel, Yellow-throated Olive Greenbul also live here.
