  3. My search to that question brought me to your web site. Are you using any other methods to enable restricted mode? There are a growing number of third party websites using Google Accounts for authentication as well.
  4. All three of my children have updated to Windows 10. I think Google has a different option with Google Educator. Then, when the sign-in button is clicked, the application starts the sign-in intent, which prompts the user to sign in with a Google account.
  5. Now if I try to enroll in another third party it comes up my email is already in use and I can not enroll in a different third party link. I have a question, though: is it possible to change my Gmail account which I created to open a G account into any other email address? Some other teachers have told me that they are going to help me with it after school. For signed-in users, the Admin Console settings take precedence over network or device settings. Restricted mode still won't turn off. This article outlines how to apply restrictions to signed-in users. Please try to sign-in again at accounts. Thank you folks for any help you can give me on this. It's great - allows us to give pupils access to youtube but limit them to educational content. I've created a category on Smoothwall and set it to Allow, then whitelist under Web filter policies, and that didn't work. Try to sign in with a Google Apps account.
  6. Set a default sharing restriction for Google+ content - Click the Play button above to watch the video! Geez … no wonder people are flocking away from Google!?
  7. I just updated my kids' laptop to Windows 10. I found pages on the internet saying to be able to turn restricted mode off, you have to remove yourself from the family in Family Safety fss. How do I do this. Haven't tried that yet, but assuming that does work, that's one heck of a sacrifice just to be able to use Google services again. To explain: we found later that not only does it affect the viewing of certain YouTube videos, but it also locks you out of using Google Docs if not completely, then it severely limits functionality. So, in order to do his homework, I have to turn off safe search. I don't even turn on safe search for myself, I leave it set to Moderate; and I don't have any issues with Google sites. My younger brother is having the same problem. Tried disabling safe search which was set to strict in Bing, and then turning restricted mode off in YouTube, but nothing changed. Restricted mode still won't turn off. I've scoured the revised family safety site, but have yet to find any setting that would cause this. Jordan We are also having this problem. All three of my children have updated to Windows 10. I am still on Windows 8. None of them can watch most of the youtube videos they used to watch all the time. None of them have google or youtube accounts. Short of removing them from the 'family' I don't see anything that I can do to allow them to watch youtube videos and still be monitored and safe in the 'family'.
