The Parque Nacional Ybyturuzu is also another national park in the Eastern part of Paraguay which is situated in Region Oriental. At this time, the national park is still in the tentative list of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and is awaiting full recognition being a World Heritage Site since 1993. It was also endorsed by the Delegation Permanente du Paraguay and it is a protected site due to its natural importance.
