Welcome to botbot - the intelligent bot. Below are the instructions.
Most of botbot's service are totally free to use with the exception of the dice roll
game. If you like botbot maybe you could consider donating a few pennies using the
donate command, details below.
Botbot was recently re-written from the ground up to include user balances to allow
you to bet smaller amounts on the dice roll game and to save in tipping taxes. Enjoy!
##User Balances
To add to you balance simply tip botbot an amount above 0.25 mBTC and it will be
credited to your balance.
--> /tip botbot <amt>
Where <amt> is the amount above 0.25 mBTC you wish to deposit.
To check your balance simply use the bal command as shown below:
--> !bal
To withdraw your balance use the cashout command as shown below:
--> !cashout <amt>
Where <amt> is the amount above 0.25 mBTC you wish to withdraw. If <amt> is not
specified, your whole balance will be withdrawn.
To donate some or all of your balance to botbot to help support its development use
the donate command as shown below:
--> !donate <amt>
There <amt> is the amount you wish to donate. If <amt> is not specified your whole
balance will be donated.
##Dice Roll Game
To play the dice roll game you must have deposited some mBTC into your balance. Then
you simply roll the two dice with the roll command as shown below:
--> !roll <bet>
Where <bet> is the amount between 0.1 and 1.5 mBTC that you wish to bet. This will be
taken from your balance. The odds of winning are detialed below.
If you roll a double 6 you win 4x you bet!
If you roll a double you win 2x your bet.
If you roll a single 6 you win 1.5x your bet.
There is a 4 in 9 chance of winning a prize!
If you don't believe me all the combanations are as follows:
(1,1), (2,2), (3,3), (4,4), (5,5), (6,6), (6,1), (6,2), (6,3), (6,4), (6,5), (1,6),
(2,6), (3,6), (4,6), (5,6)
Thats 16 possible wins out of 36 (6^6) possibilities which is 4 in 9.
##Currency Conversion
Botbot's currency conversion allows you to convert between bitcoins and many other
world-wide currencies. Unlike moobot's Currency conversion it allows you to convert
from other currencies to bitcoins as well as vice versa. To use botbot's currency
converter user the command as shown below:
--> !ex <amt> <currency 1> <currency 2>
<amt> is the amount of currency 1 which you wish to convert into currency 2
For example if you wanted to know what $10 USD was in BTC you would type:
--> !ex 10 USD BTC
At least one of the currencies must be a form of bitcoins. This can be any of the
following:
BTC, cBTC, mBTC, uBTC, SAT, satoshi(s)
One of the currencies can be any one of the following world currencies:
USD, AUD, CAD, CHF, CNY, DKK, EUR, GBP, HKD, NZD, PLN, RUB, SGD, THB, NOK, CZK,
JPY, SEK
##Artificial intelligence
bobot takes advantage of the powerful Wolfram Alpha website to bring you informative
artificial intelligence. You can make queries to Wolfram Alpha using the comman as
shown below:
--> !ai <query string>
For example if you wanted to know what the weather was like in New York you could type:
--> !ai Whats the weather like in New York?
Or if you prefer:
--> !ai weather new york

Please do not abuse or excessively use this feature. Without paying for access to
Wolfram Alpha botbot is limited to 2000 requests per month which isn't many at all
(one every 21 minutes).
##Insults
You can insult other users in any room (except offtopic) using the command as
shown below:
--> !insult <user> <room>
Where <user> is the user you wish to insult and <room> is the room to insult them
in. <room> is optional, if not specified it will default to current room. Also, it
cannot be offtopic top avoid spam.
##Flirting
You can flirt with other users in any room (except offtopic) using the command as
shown below:
--> !flirt <user> <room>
Where <user> is the user you wish to flirt with and <room> is the room to insult
them in. <room> is optional, if not specified it will default to current room. Also,
it cannot be offtopic top avoid spam.
##Google Search
You can search Google and have the top result returned to you in the chat using the
command as shown below:
--> !search <query string>
For example if you wanted to search for Bitcoin faucets you could type:
--> !search bitcoin faucets
##YouTube Search
You can search YouTube and have the top result returned to you in the chat using the
command as shown below:
--> !watch <query string>
For example if you wanted to search for funny cat videos you could type:
--> !watch funny cats
##GrooveShark Search
You can search GrooveShark and have the top result returned to you in the chat using the
command as shown below:
--> !listen <query string>
For example if you wanted to search for Moves Like Jagger you could type:
--> !listen moves like jagger
