  12. Also, can we get some consistency in this conversation on your end? Elsa, Michele, Wilhelm ... you're all great, but maybe it's time to escalate this to a supervisor that has dealt with your old warranty and your inability to fulfill it any longer.
  13. I don't need more apologies - I just want to work out something with you that acknowledges the situation, and is satisfactory to both of us.
  14. As I see it:
  15. - I'd like a functioning watch
  16. - a battery replacement will likely solve this
  17. - your warranty covers battery replacements
  18. - battery replacements are cheap, so I was going to pay for it to be done locally, since it would be easier than sending the watch in.
  19. - the local shop, Batteries Plus was unable to open the case
  20. - I turned to you, since you previously maintained a service center (as noted in the warranty)
  21. - you no longer maintain a service center and are unable to fulfill your warranty
  22. - a return or exchange would nullify the existing warranty
  23. - The watch I have is no longer sold by you, though you have a somewhat similar model that I don't care for and has a far less desirable warranty.
  24. - you have another watch I like, despite the warranty, however it is more expensive than the one I purchased in 1992.
  25. As originally suggested, perhaps I should explore other local battery-replacement shops, and you could just reimburse the battery fee?
