  1. The famed dev group declared that the jailbreaking community can expect a major revamp of the latest jailbreaking tool and for starters, a slightly revised version of Evasi0n7 is now ready for the taking.
  2. The new unlocker, according to BGR, is vastly different from the edition that was given out on Dec 22. Taig, the Chinese app provider that reportedly secured a $1M deal with Team Evad3rs, is no longer part of the Evasi0n7 package.
  3. The Evad3rs insisted that they received no cash from Taig, dismissing rumours that money changed hands prior to the Evasi0n7 pre-Christmas release. Soon after the JB rollout, it quickly drew flak as pirated apps were detected from Taig.

  10. It should be noted that piracy is off limits as far as Cydia is concerned. Cydia is the hub that holds alternative applications for jailbroken iOS devices.
  11. So Taig is now out and the Evad3rs explained why: "After investigation and after notification from the community, we found examples, including pirated tweaks, Apple App Store apps, and even pod2g's PodDJ app. We dropped the ball on this."
  12. "Our written and verbal agreement with Taig banned (pirated applications)," the group was reported by Gotta Be Mobile as saying. As it turned out, Taig was too hot for the Evad3rs to handle and the partnership turned sour almost overnight. The split became inevitable.
  13. With piracy out of the equation, is Evasi0n7 glitch-free again?
  14. Hardly as Team Evad3rs admitted that further modifications can be expected in the weeks ahead, chief among them is the awaited Mobile Substrate update that will work on all iOS devices that run on A4 through A7 processing chips.
  15. Also, the team is working on a reported jailbreaking issue that "may cause your device to go into a reboot loop or leave your device stuck on the Apple logo screen," as reported in JailbreakQA.com.
  16. It is expected too that the new Evasi0n7 7.1 will work smoothly on both 32-bit and 64-bit iOS devices.
  17. And when is this new unlocker coming out?
  18. It appears that jailbreak fans will have to wait until after the holidays as Team Evad3rs said in a statement that "we are working hard to fix the problems with the jailbreak. Unfortunately, it's the holidays and we would like to spend time with our friends and family."
  19. At the same time, the group stressed that "we will work as hard as we can to resolve any remaining issues."
  20. Right now, it is best to hold off any jailbreaking plans and wait until Team Evad3rs is all set to unleash its more stable Evasi0n7 jailbreak.
