One of the places to visit in Cape Verde is Jardim Botanico. The name is short cut for Jardim Botanico Nacional Grandvaux Barbosa and it is the sole Botanical Garden of Cape Verde. This garden is situated in Sao Jorge dos Orgaos and it was established in 1986. Jardim Botanico is under the supervision of the National Institute of Agrian Studies and Development. It is directly linked with the University of Cape Verde. There are native flowers in the garden like Hibiscus and Hydrangea, among many others.
