Its height is 746 ft and its width is 90 ft. It opened in 1937 and was, until 1964, the longest suspension bridge main span in the world, at 4,200 feet (1,280 m). It was designed by the Architect Irving Morrow and the Engineers behind this Bridge were Joseph Strauss and Charles Ellis. Its construction began on 1933 and ended in 1937.The Bridge opened on May 17 1937 and is 80 years old now. It is the most photographed Bridge of the world.
