  1. Hello, I have about 6 cakes that I used the tek for verm, and brown rice flower as substrate. I have successfully grown some oysters from it. It has been recommended that I grow it in something else. So if I sterilize another kind of substrate can I just put the substrate in the terrarium and place the cakes in there will they take over and do the rest? Also any recommendations of what kind of substrate to use?

  11. Do not put a substrate in there that has not been fully colonized. It does not work that way in indoor cultivation. If you do this you will only grow mold and bacteria. You need to make a new substrate with hardwood sawdust or straw and you can supplement with brf and gypsum. You should inoculate this with grain spawn let it fully colonize then put it into your terrarium.
