I battled with LSE, and I was so much drowned in inferiority complex that I relied on compliments to make me feel good about myself. I hated when I looked in the mirror and saw someone different, the person I didn't want to be and how I thought I was a disgrace to beauty ... How I wished I was born differently, had longer legs, longer hair... I hated how I felt like everything for me was a mistake, and most times when I received a compliment, I'd think of it as a lie.
Then I became invisible, trapped in my own self and I thought to myself "it's OK that they don't see me, that they don't see how much of a mistake I was".
It wasn't until Jesus said to me "I see you, I see everything you do, I love that you are small, smart, light skinned, a little bit chubby " that I realized my invisibility was an antidote for my pride and the cure to my selfishness... I told myself, I wouldn't live for compliments, I would live for God, I would live for myself, I would say goodbye to negativity... And here I am, a conqueror!
Note to younger self, present self and future self: "baby girl, you are the best version of you, and you deserve the best, nothing... I repeat, nothing! Should weigh you down, I love you! "
