The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned of severe political and economic damages to the European Union (EU) and the world if the British decide to leave the EU. It could extend uncertainty and undermine investments, IMF officials said. The United Kingdom will decide if it will continue to be a part of the EU after a June referendum.
